Our Story

Since 1950, Fry Krisp Food Products has been serving up quality and tradition from our home in Jackson, Michigan. What started as a bet in a garage has grown into a beloved household name in the retail and restaurant food service market throughout the United States.

Our journey began when Richard G. Neuenfeldt took over management in 1956. For over 60 years, he steered Fry Krisp to success, developing our reputation for excellence and making numerous improvements to our operations and working conditions. His dedication was so profound that he continued working past the age of 100, until his passing in 2015.

The torch was then passed to Richard J. Neuenfeldt, who carried on his father's legacy of perseverance and humility. As he often recounted, "My father would go on the road to make deliveries, and customers wouldn't even realize he was the company president."

In late 2021, Stephen Artz, who had joined as production manager in 2015, acquired the company. Bringing decades of experience in quality control from various industries, Artz saw tremendous potential in Fry Krisp and committed to maintaining its family-owned tradition.

Our Growth

From our humble beginnings with a simple fry batter and 50-cents-per-hour wages, we've expanded to offer a full line of mixes for all your favorite American fried foods. Our product range has grown, but our commitment to quality hasn't changed.

We take pride in using all-natural ingredients in the majority of our products. While this may decrease shelf life, it significantly increases healthiness and ensures a fresh taste that our customers love.

Fry Krisp provides the additional service of Custom Blending. With our custom blending capabilities and our experienced product development team, we can help create a signature breading, batter or seasoning, just for you. If you would like your custom label on one of our products, we can do that too! Our Research and Development Department has over 70 years of experience in creating recipes and is always open to new ideas.
